Proposal for Memorial Furniture Installation in Adelaide CBD
Project Highlight: Meso Space presents a visionary proposition for the Memorial Furniture Project in Adelaide CBD, merging artistry with furniture making and advanced CNC metal cutting techniques to honour influential figures in society. The centrepiece of this project is a series of ornate park benches adorned with intricate details, strategically placed against the backdrop of the University of Adelaide on North Terrace. Inspired by Australian landscapes, these benches boast a dynamic design style with a colour palette of dark gold and dark blue, drawing inspiration from the Pont-Aven School and Aquirax Uno’s aesthetic. Modular design elements allow for versatile adaptation to cater to various purposes. Each installation includes a small plaque at the back of the seat, describing the person’s information, thus celebrating the legacy of impactful individuals. These installations seamlessly integrate with their urban surroundings, adding a touch of elegance and commemoration to the cityscape.
