During the course of the project, we navigate the permits and approvals process with expertise and diligence, ensuring every project complies with regulations, stays on schedule, and transitions smoothly from vision to reality.

What We Do?

At Meso Space, our approach to sustainability involves integrating precautionary environmental and social principles into our design, construction, planning, and decision-making processes. Our focus is on contributing to the development of healthy, livable, smart, resilient, and pluralistic cities, where diverse lifestyles and circular economy principles are evident. This practice allows us to create spaces that become cherished parts of everyday life.

Our projects and design propositions are shaped by larger strategic plans, master plans, and policy development plans, which foster diversity and democratic spaces. We emphasize sustainable urban planning, affordable housing, water-sensitive design, place-making, local revenue generation, green infrastructure, and resource mobilization as key strategies for revitalizing urban areas in response to their specific contexts.

Philosophy

Meso Space distinguishes every single space as a significant point that facilitates a spatial transition: our epoch is one in which space takes for us the form of relations among sites or states of beings. We believe every single urban space is an opening and intermediate area, that generates an invisible barrier indicating inside or outside usually at the same time, and thus productive of a sense of place for citizens.

Professional commitments

At Meso Space, we prioritize professional ethics, social responsibility, climate change, urban resilience, and incremental-informed development. These values are reflected in our projects, strategic designs, and detailed executions. Our commitment to financial, social, and environmental sustainability extends to our corporate governance, emphasizing stakeholder participation and transparency.

Creativity and Innovation

We continuously evaluate our technical and detailed knowledge to achieve high-quality design solutions that are environmentally and socially responsible. Many of our projects have introduced new ideas inspired by past experiences. Today, we take advantage of technological advances and construction methods in more sustainable and cost-effective ways, applying lessons learned from previous projects.

Aesthetics in Design

Meso Space is renowned for its exceptional design projects that harmoniously blend functionality with aesthetic appeal. With over 20 years of experience in urban design across Australia and globally, our team excels in crafting visually compelling environments. We are dedicated to creating designs that are not only ecologically sustainable and comfortable but also inherently beautiful. Our approach ensures that each project captivates with its visual appeal and integrates seamlessly with its surroundings, delivering striking and engaging urban experiences.

Pluralistic Design, Cultural Diversity, and the Right to the City

Our approach is always specific to the site, encouraging biodiversity and the implementation of human-centred design. We foresee the city as a cosmopolitan, drawing the principles for design from the social-physical contexts, the morphology of neighbouring buildings, the climate, ecology and people’s use. we aim to democratize spaces and provide rights to the city for citizens. We believe no two design outcomes can be the same if they are developed from an essential understanding of the place and its exceptionality.

Transactive Planning and Stakeholder Engagement

In practice and research, we encourage collaboration, intercultural dialogue, and stakeholder engagement to achieve excellent outcomes.  We suggest the inclusion of local communities in the process of design/research not only inputs knowledge and reveals local experiences and expectations, but also imparts ownership and long-term care to the outcomes. Our focus is on participation by clients, consultants, researchers, educators, and space users, as well as the exchange of ideas within a collaborative team approach.
