Proposal for Cultural Center and Public Library in Castlemaine (VIC)
Project Highlight: Our proposal for the cultural centre and public library in Castlemaine (VIC) offers a striking example of parametric architecture. The modern cultural centre is characterised by its vibrant colour scheme, featuring sharp lines and angles that embody avant-garde design principles.
The exterior design incorporates large glass windows, allowing natural light to flood the interior and creating captivating reflections. The geometric shapes of the building impart a sense of movement and dynamism, adding to its visual appeal.
Strategically located in front of JIZEDC’s building, by implementing place-making principles, the cultural centre provides spacious interior/exterior spaces designed to accommodate a variety of activities. These include art displays, events, film showcases, youth activities, and tech storage facilities.
With its innovative design and versatile spaces, our proposal aims to enrich the cultural landscape of Castlemaine and provide a vibrant hub for community engagement, artistic expression and tourism.
