Proposal for Informal Amphitheatre and Outdoor Seating Structures at the University of Tasmania

Project Highlight: Mesospace has proposed a collection of modern outdoor seating structures tailored for the University of Tasmania’s open-air study zones. These wooden platforms, boasting geometric designs and tiered layouts, serve as welcoming hubs for gatherings and informal learning sessions amidst verdant surroundings. Visitors are encouraged to partake in a range of activities, from leisurely reading and casual conversations to performances and rejuvenating exercises, all while seated on wooden planks arranged in distinctive shapes. Seamlessly integrating into the urban park backdrop, each structure offers glimpses of cityscape vistas, enriching the outdoor experience. With its emphasis on fostering social engagement and relaxation, this innovative design enhances the university’s outdoor ambience with contemporary flair and practical seating solutions.
